In a turn of events, it appears as if South Carolina will get a big boost in time for its season opener versus North Carolina on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Getting Adams back is significant on a number of levels. Although recently plagued by a hamstring injury, Adams is the second-leading receiver returning this season. He has real NFL potential with his combination of size and speed. With receiver Pharoh Cooper expected to draw a ton of attention from opposing defenses in 2015, new signal-caller Connor Mitch may utilize Adams quite a bit.

Walton was third on the team in total tackles a year ago. After coming on late last year, the Florida native is projected to break out and have a big junior campaign.

Getting healthy is beneficial for any football team. In regards to South Carolina, a big win versus a geographical rival in the opener could set the table for a successful season. Getting Adams and Walton back is certainly a step in the right direction.
