Report: Eason to take an official visit to hometown Washington

Published Dec. 9, 2015 10:05 p.m. ET

The recruitment of prep signal-caller Jacob Eason continues to see even more twists and turns.

Generally regarded as the top-ranked quarterback on the high school level, Eason had been a longtime commitment to the University of Georgia.

The departure of Mark Richt forced Eason to rethink his decision -- which included taking a visit to Florida. It was thought Eason would choose between the two schools.

However, Chris Petersen and the Washington Huskies have other ideas.

Eason -- a native of Lake Stevens, Wash., will take an official visit to the University of Washington, per a report from The Seattle Times

It's a fascinating development, and one which will surely excite the fans in Seattle. At Washington, he'd be battling Jake Browning for the starting gig. Browning was a true freshman starter this past year for the Huskies.
