Report: Luke Falk out of Apple Cup with concussion, Peyton Bender will start

Published Nov. 27, 2015 1:17 p.m. ET

Redshirt freshman Peyton Bender will start at QB for Washington State against Washington in Friday's Apple Cup, according to a report by The Seattle Times.

Luke Falk, WSU's record-setting sophomore QB, was knocked out of last week's game against Colorado with a concussion. Falk went through concussion protocol this week, but he will not play.

Bender went 13-of-22 for 133 yards and a touchdown in relief of Falk last week, and also threw a touchdown the week before against UCLA.
