Report: Maryland adds Ohio HS coach to staff
Last year, Michigan made news by dipping into the high school ranks in Ohio and New Jersey to bolster Jim Harbaugh's football staff.
Now former Harbaugh assistant D.J. Durkin reportedly has followed Harbaugh's lead.
WKYC in Cleveland reports former Cleveland Benedictine head coach Joe Schaefer is joining Durkin's staff at Maryland.

The two are familiar from Schaefer's playing days at Bowling Green, where Durkin was a player and later a coach.
Schaefer's playing career from 2004-08 overlapped with Durkin's two years as a full-time assistant 2005 and '06.
Under Schaefer, Benedictine went 35-6 in three seasons. The Bengals won a state championship in 2014.
Four-star Benedictine receiver Justin Layne signed with Michigan State in February, one year after four-star linebacker Jerome Baker signed with Ohio State.
Michigan's move to former New Jersey high school coach Chris Partridge to the staff last year paid off big time.
The Wolverines signed not only Rashan Gary, the nation's No. 1 recruit and a former Partridge player, but five other players from the Garden State.
Harbaugh also hired Rick Finotti, the former coach at northeast Ohio powerhouse Lakewood St. Edward, as a defensive analyst.
