Report: Ole Miss DT Robert Nkemdiche charged with marijuana possession
After being found having fallen from his fourth story hotel room, Ole Miss star defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche now faces charges for marijuana possession.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the junior has been official charged by Atlanta police. “Approximately 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes" have been found in the player's room according to the police report filed following Nkemdiche's four-story fall from his Grand Hyatt Atlanta hotel room.
Police suspect the 6-foot-4, 296-pound Nkemdiche broke his hotel window, walked toward a wall, climbed over the wall and fell 15 feet to the ground. The Ole Miss player was then taken to the hospital once authorities arrived.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement he was “still learning about the matter, but obviously Robert’s well being is our greatest concern.”
A junior in 2015, Nkemdiche is expected to be a top draft selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.
