The Philadelphia Eagles made a run at Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin at the beginning of their coaching search, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Aggies' coach, who has been at Texas A&M since 2012, is reportedly saying he wants to stay in college for now.

Philadelphia fired Chip Kelly prior to Week 17 of the NFL season.
