Report: Sophomore Anthony Brown transferring from Arkansas

The Arkansas defensive line depth took a hit Thursday, as sophomore Anthony Brown has decided to transfer from the program after failing to make an appearance on the field in 2015.

Brown was suspended for a portion of spring football in April. Razorback head coach Bret Bielema never specified the reasoning behind the suspension.

A Florida native, Brown was among six players from the Sunshine State to sign with Arkansas in 2014. Only two of the six players now remain on the current roster. Those players came to Fayetteville thanks to former assistant coach Randy Shannon, a Florida native himself and renowned recruiter of the state. Shannon left Arkansas to join Jim McElwain's first staff at Florida following the 2014 season.
