Report: Thomas Brown leaves UGA staff to join Richt in Miami

Published Dec. 22, 2015 3:52 p.m. ET

Georgia's running backs coach Thomas Brown has reportedly decided to leave Athens and join former head coach Mark Richt in Miami. Via AJC.com, it appears as if Brown may be a co-offensive coordinator in Coral Gables.

A former player under Richt, Brown coached the likes of Sony Michel, Keith Marshall, and Nick Chubb this past season for the Bulldogs.

Prior to that, he had stints at Chattanooga, Marshall, and Wisconsin before heading home to his alma mater.

At only 29 years of age, Brown should be extremely effective when it comes to recruiting the talent-rich areas in the state of Florida. Dually, his three years of experience as an NFL back will surely appeal to those high school prospects thirsting for the dream to feature as a professional one day.
