Rich Rodriguez ranks second-best coach in Pac-12

Remember when Rich Rodriguez was unceremoniously let go from his duties at Michigan?

Arizona fans can thank them for that.

Rodriguez's selection as the Wildcats' head coach raised eyebrows in 2012, but he won the fans over in convincing fashion. Wins will do that to any coach, and Rodriguez sure has delivered. It's no wonder why Athlon Sports ranks Rodriguez as the second-best coach in the Pac-12.

Here's what they had to say about Rodriguez:

"Rodriguez is in the process of elevating Arizona into a yearly contender for the Pac-12 title. The Wildcats claimed the South Division championship last season with a 7-2 conference record and won double-digit games (10) for the first time since 1998. Additionally, the 10 wins last year was only the third time in program history that Arizona has won more than nine in a season."

With such an impressive resume in such a short amount of time, it's hard to argue Rodriguez's place on this list.
