Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez will soon be joined by his son, Rhett, on the Wildcats football team.

Rhett Rodriguez, a 2017 QB from Catalina Foothills High School, committed to Arizona on Saturday night. He received the scholarship offer on Tuesday, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

"It’s just really cool," Rodriguez said, according to the Star. "Just because I know the coaching staff and a lot of the players, and I just know so much about this program that’s always been something I've wanted to do. Playing for my dad is something I've always thought about, and it’s just awesome to see that it'll come true."

Rodriguez passed for 2,503 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions in 2015 and also had 624 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
