Richt alludes to recruiting Jacob Eason to Miami

All's fair in the world of college football recruiting. If you make a decision to replace a coach, you'd better be ready to deal with the consequences of that move. Could Georgia be the next school to find that out the hard way?

During his introductory press conference at the University of Miami, new head coach Mark Richt made comments suggesting he will indeed recruit Georgia quarterback commit Jacob Eason to Coral Gables.

“Recruiting’s not over till it’s over. If it’s a mid-year player it’s over when he enrolls in school. If he’s going to sign on signing day then it’s over then,” Richt said. “That’s part of the assessment that’s going on. I want to assess the class that’s committed. I want to assess the team that’s (here). I want to assess the recruiting board.”

Just for the record, Eason is indeed a mid-year/early enrollee prospect, meaning he plans to enroll in college early in January.

Eason is coming of a recent visit to Florida's campus and you have to think Miami may be on his radar now with Richt officially being introduced as the new head coach.

Can Georgia hang on to the five-star prospect or did they lose any hope of signing him when they decided to make a change at head coach?
