Richt focused on Tech, not his job status

Published Nov. 25, 2015 12:07 a.m. ET

With all the heat currently on Les Miles' plate at LSU, Mark Richt's Bulldogs have quietly won three games in a row to briefly cool the coaching rumors in Athens. Following the winning stretch, Georgia has an opportunity to finish the season with 10 wins.

Of course, getting to number nine against rival Georgia Tech comes first. Would Richt survive a loss to the Yellow Jackets? He was asked that during his Tuesday press conference.

“Who made you ask that question?” Richt said. “I know you didn’t think of that one. My focus is beating Georgia Tech right now. That’s my answer to you.”

Richt was then asked if expects to return to Georgia for 2016.

“My focus right now is Georgia Tech,” Richt said again “Who made you ask that one?”

Of course Richt's recent recruiting trip answer that question without Richt having to spell it out for anyone asking.
