Royce Freeman named to Maxwell Award watch list

Sophomore running back Royce Freeman has been named to the 2015 Maxwell Award watch list, an award that is given to the national player of the year.

Marcus Mariota, Oregon's 2014 Heisman-winning QB, is the reigning Maxwell Award winner. 

As a true freshman in 2014, Freeman rushed for a team-high 1,365 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. He was named the Pac-12 offensive freshman of the year and a freshman All-American.
