Royce Freeman named to Walter Camp Award watch list

Published Jul. 17, 2015 3:28 p.m. ET

Sophomore running back Royce Freeman has been named to the Walter Camp Award watch list. The Walter Camp Award is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding player.

As a freshman in 2014, Freeman rushed for 1,365 yards and 18 touchdowns. It is expected that Freeman will once again be one of the best running backs in the Pac-12 in 2015.

Last season, Oregon's Marcus Mariota took home the award. It was the first Walter Camp Award win for an Oregon player.
