Rutgers star DT Hamilton out again for Penn State game
Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood did not try to deny the Scarlet Knights figure to miss Darius Hamilton (lower body injury) when they travel to Penn State on Saturday night.
"I think when a player like Darius is not in the lineup, you miss him no matter who you play against," Flood told reporters in Piscataway during a press conference Monday. "Darius could have helped us last week and if he's not available this week, we'll miss him this week.
"Darius is a spectacular player and a difference maker but we have other good players on the defensive line. It's one of the strengths of our team and we won't make any excuses if Darius doesn't play."
Per NJ.comHamilton, a senior defensive lineman and captain, is listed "out" on the injury report published by the school.
