San Diego runs over Davidson, 35-10
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Dallas Kessman ran for 124 yards and a touchdown and Jereke Armstrong added 122 more yards on the ground with a score to help lead San Diego to a 35-10 win over Davidson on Saturday.
The Toreros have won five straight and eight of nine, but still trail Dayton in the Pioneer League standings with one game left. Dayton owns the tiebreaker, having beaten San Diego on October 10.
The Toreros (8-2, 6-1) finished with 278 total yards rushing with four different players scoring a touchdown.
Anthony Lawrence threw for 151 yards and a score for San Diego, including a 37-yard strike to Trevor Barney for the first points of the game.
San Diego led 14-3 at halftime and 28-10 after three quarters.
Taylor Mitchell threw for 180 yards and a TD to lead Davidson (1-9, 0-7). The Wildcats have lost five straight.
