SEC weekend recap: LSU, Alabama shine while A&M, Ole Miss falter (VIDEO)

Published Oct. 19, 2015 12:28 a.m. ET

A wild weekend in the SEC potentially set up yet another LSU versus Alabama showdown for West supremacy, a stunning loss has Ole Miss facing another late season slide, while a wounded Georgia survives Missouri to stave off East elimination.

LSU's 35-28 win over Florida in Death Valley leaves the Tigers as the lone undefeated in conference. Place kicker Trent Domingue was the unlikely hero of the game, scoring the go-ahead touchdown on a fake field goal

Alabama subdued Texas A&M at home 41-23 thanks in large part to Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen's three pick six's.

Ole Miss lost to Memphis 37-24 on the road in the Liberty Bowl, but it may be a mistake to call this game an upset, as the Tigers were clearly the better team on this day. Ole Miss star defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche left the game with a concussion and failed to return.

South Carolina outclassed Vanderbilt 19-10 to earn interim coach Shawn Elliott his first victory as the team's head coach.

Georgia narrowly edged Missouri 9-6 in Athens, avoiding the annual letdown game which has plagued the Bulldogs in the recent history.

Finally Mississippi State took care of business, beating Louisiana Tech 45-20 in Starkville
