Several Scarlet Knights ready to try to make it in NFL

Published May. 8, 2015 12:19 p.m. ET

Only two Rutgers players were drafted last weekend, but more than a half-dozen others are going to get a shot to make an NFL roster via a free-agent deal or rookie-camp tryout.

Linebacker Kevin Snyder (Lions), offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson (Ravens) and wide receiver Andrew Turzilli (Titans) all signed contracts while safety Lorenzo Waters (Browns), quarterback Gary Nova (Giants), cornerback Gareef Glashen (Browns) and offensive lineman Betim Bujari (Jets) will take part in tryout camps.

The Scarlet Knights who were drafted were tight end Tyler Kroft (Bengals) and fullback Michael Burton (Lions).
