WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — Daniel Smith passed for 211 yards and threw the game's only touchdown and Campbell beat Georgetown 13-8 on Saturday.

Down 6-3 in the third quarter, Caleb Snead got behind the defense and Smith found him wide open for a 70-yard score with 6:16 left in the quarter. Rocky Reid, with his first 100-yard rushing game as a Camel, ran it 29 times for 115. Gunther Johnson passed for 201 yards for Georgetown, but the Camels stuffed the Hoyas running game limiting them to 53 yards on 29 carries.

On Georgetown's last drive, facing third and two near midfield, Damien Dozier sacked Johnson and forced a fumble that was recovered by the Camels' Terence Harper.

Campbell (2-0) managed to overcome 123 yards of penalties and two turnovers with the help of three Georgetown (1-1) fumbles. The Hoyas converted just four of 16 third downs while Campbell held the ball for 35 minutes.
