SMU coach thanks students with free golf-cart rides to class

Need a ride? The "Mustang Transit Authority" is on it.

SMU coach Chad Morris made the rounds on campus in Dallas this week in a two-row golf cart, offering free rides to students in appreciation for their attendance at last weekend's season opener against Baylor. Morris, with a driver up front to allow him to interact with the students, even accommodated one student's request for a selfie rather than a ride.

As he told another student, "I just kinda thought we'd get out today and interact with y'all and say, 'Hey, we appreciate you.'"

Morris is in his first season as coach at SMU after a successful stint as Clemson's offensive coordinator. The Mustangs hung with Baylor for a half last week before the Bears eventually pulled away in a 56-21 decision, one that featured more SMU points than the team scored in the first four games combined in 2014.
