Special teams is often taken for granted by most fans until something to blame is needed for the team not having a spark.

However, for the Wisconsin Badgers, their special teams units have stuck out this season for one big reason: many starters play on the units and take great pride in it. According to JS Online:

Linebacker Joe Schobert is on kickoff coverage and punt coverage. Fullback Derek Watt is on punt coverage and kickoff returns. Safety Michael Caputo is on punt coverage. Cornerbacks Darius Hillary and Sojourn Shelton are on kickoff coverage. Shelton is also on punt coverage.

When star safety Michael Caputo was asked about it he had this to say:

"To me, it is a very important part of the game," Caputo said. "Think about it, if you get a punt blocked, you're more than likely to lose that game. Special teams starts off every game and every half," Caputo said. "I take a great deal of pride in special teams. I was on punt return and they took me off so I was kind of PO'd. I just continue to work on special teams and try to get on as many as I can."

Having so many selfless players on the team is something Badgers fans can take great pride in.
