Standout Michigan DB hints at NFL draft plans

Published Oct. 29, 2015 8:09 p.m. ET

Michigan football's 2015 resurgence has a lot of faces, but cornerback Jourdan Lewis might be the most prominent (at least among players).

His rise from part-time starter to Thorpe Award candidate has helped the Michigan defense improve from good to great this season, but it has also given fans reason to be concerned he won't be around for Year 2 of Jim Harbaugh's time as head coach of the Wolverines.

Thursday, Lewis indicated he this might not be his last year in Ann Arbor, though.

Of course, the 5-foot-10, 176-pound junior from Detroit would not be the first player to say one thing and do another if he ultimately opted to enter the 2016 NFL draft, but it's hard to imagine better bye-week news for fans of the Wolverines.
