Stanford commit Costello is recruiting for the Cardinal

Stanford QB commit K.J. Costello isn't just spending his time competing at the Elite 11 finals in Oregon. No, he's spending some of his time recruiting for his future team.

At 6'4", 216 pounds, Costello projects to be Stanford's next big-time QB. However, he knows that in order to compete in the Pac-12, he's going to need some dynamic pieces to come with him to Palo Alto.

As for the players he's working on right now, this is what Costello had to say, according to ESPN's Derek Tyson:

"Right now we are working hard on Demetris Robertson. He decommitted from Bama, and Stanford is his No. 1 dream school. He's the No. 1 athlete in the country, we'd love to have him in the family," Costello said, according to Tyson. "Dylan Crawford is a good friend of mine out of Santa Margarita, my high school. He's fighting to the end with Stanford, as well, so he's another big one for us."

And he wasn't finished:

"Then we got Kaden Smith already, and hopefully David Long will make the decision, too, to be a Cardinal, as well. I actually just visited Stanford with him a few weeks ago and he absolutely loved the place, so hopefully we'll get him too. There's about three or four other guys that I'll be working on; Caleb Kelly is another one. He's a stud linebacker -- big-time player. He loves the place, too."
