Stanford never offered Dylan McCaffrey, Christian McCaffrey's brother
Dylan McCaffrey, younger brother of Stanford's Heisman hopeful tailback Christian McCaffrey, never received an offer from the Cardinal before he committed to play for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.

The Wolverines landed a talented recruit in McCaffrey, one of the top rated high school players in the state of Colorado. McCaffrey is also the son of former Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey. The 6-foot-5 quarterback is a junior. He had 27 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 200.0 yards per game in the air last season. McCaffrey added 13 rushing TD's and 2 receiving TD's as well.
The 247 Sports Crystal Ball projections had Stanford as the favorite to land McCaffrey until about last month, when Michigan took over. According to 247, McCaffrey is the No. 2 overall pro-style quarterback in the class of 2017.
But Stanford never offered the Michigan-commit, who is going a different direction from his older brother. Here's what Dylan told SB Nation about how he and his brother feel about playing together:
"He wants what is best for me, and to take my own journey.
If the best fit is Stanford, he'll tell me. If it's not, he'll tell me, and he'll support me."
McCaffrey reportedly received offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers, UCLA, Virginia, Washington and Washington State.
Stanford has already offered three scholarships to three different four-star, pro-style quarterbacks in the Class of 2017. Stanford has just three players that are committed for that year, including a four-star running back.
