Stanford still has a chance at making the College Football Playoff

Despite having two losses this season, Stanford still has a chance to make it into the College Football Playoff. 

After clinching the Pac-12 North on Saturday, the Cardinal has earned the right to play two more games this season. First up in Notre Dame on Saturday in Palo Alto. The Fighting Irish are currently ranked No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings and will give the Cardinal a great opportunity to impress the playoff committee. 

According to the website FiveThirtyEight, Stanford still has an 11-percent chance at making the College Football Playoff. FiveThirtyEight also gives the Cardinal a 52-percent chance at winning the Pac-12 conference title.

With games against No. 4 Notre Dame and a Pac-12 title game against UCLA or USC, the Cardinal will have a two nationally televised opportunities to prove they belong in the final four.
