Stanford's Shaw says Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. reminds him of Johnny Manziel

Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. has played a key role in the Ducks' second-half surge this season. After being injured for the early part of the season, Adams has led the Ducks to three straight victories and has accounted for 11 touchdowns in those games.

Stanford head coach David Shaw seems to be impressed with what he's seen from Adams, even going so far as to compare him to two college football legends.

According to ESPN's Ted Miller, Shaw compared Adams' abilities to former Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Manziel and Doug Flutie.

Adams' ability to make plays on the move has proven to be a key to Oregon's offensive success over the past three weeks. However, he will face a Stanford defense Saturday that is one of the best units in the nation.
