(STATS) - The SWAC is dropping from a nine-game conference schedule to seven this season, and it may not be welcome news to Grambling State.

Grambling features what could be the two best offensive players in the SWAC in senior quarterback Devante Kincade, last year's conference offensive player of the year, and running back Martez Carter. Kincade missed much of last year's spring practice with a broken foot, but he's been leading the Tigers throughout this spring.
The defense is replacing five players who earned first-team All-SWAC honors.
