Swinney comments on former OC Chad Morris and the South Carolina coaching job
Has the retirement of Steve Spurrier opened the door for former Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris to take over the Tigers archrival Gamecocks?
On Wednesday, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was asked by Aaron Brenner of the Post and Courrier about the possibility of his former coordinator, who is in his first year as head coach of SMU, becoming his biggest rival and said, “I think he’s got a great job. You’d have to ask Chad (about) that.”
Swinney continued.
“I think he’s a great coach, obviously, and he’s focused on doing a great job where he’s at,” Swinney said. “If there’s another job out there he’s interested in, that’s up to him.”
Swinney and the No. 6 Tigers will be in action this Saturday when they play at Miami at noon.
