TCU's Patterson: WR Doctson to miss season with wrist injury

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) TCU coach Gary Patterson says star receiver Josh Doctson will miss the rest of the season with a left wrist injury he sustained during last week's loss to Oklahoma State.

Patterson told SiriusXMCollege in an interview Thursday that Doctson was going to miss the 13th-ranked Horned Frogs' final three regular-season games, including games against No. 4 Baylor and No. 12 Oklahoma, and the postseason.

Players fell on Doctson's arm after he made a catch in TCU's 49-29 loss at Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Doctson has been one of the best receivers in the country this season. The senior is second in the nation in yards per game (146.1), third in receptions per game (8.7) and has 14 touchdowns.
