Tennessee gains DB commit, now have JUCO teammates pledged to '16 class
Desmond "D.J." Henderson grew up in South Carolina, just hours from the Tennessee campus and now looks to return close to home as a member of the Vols' 2016 recruiting class as he gave his pledge to the team Thursday:
Henderson currently plays for Dodge City Community College, the same school as fellow Tennessee receiver commit Jeff George. The Vols now have 17 prospects committed to their 2016 recruiting class which currently ranks among the best in the SEC.
Standing at 6-foot-1, Henderson has the ideal height to deal with the tall receivers he will be facing on a week to week basis in the SEC.
At this point, Tennessee appears to be making a strong push toward the 2016 season, as they are adding three junior college prospects that could come in and contribute immediately to a team positioned to make a run at the SEC title.
Aye I'm too pumped to announce my commitment to the University of Tennesee! ????? #GoVolunteers pic.twitter.com/vTDPJEoREx
