Texas has added some special teams help with the arrival of kicker Trent Domingue, a 2015 Lou Groza Award (nation's top kicker) semifinalist from LSU. The graduate transfer will be eligible this fall. Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong announced the news Sunday.

"We're obviously thrilled that Trent decided to join our program," Strong said. "What a great addition in a critical position of need for us. Trent's an experienced and proven kicker who has had a great deal of success at the highest level and competed in pressure situations. He'll be a strong leader on our special teams, and we look forward to getting him on campus."

Domingue, a former walk-on, put together a streak of 42 consecutive made extra points, the eighth-longest in LSU history, prior to one being blocked. He finished the 2015 season 49-of-50 in PATs and has made 55 of 56 in his career. He made 13 of 17 field goals in 2015. Domingue had announced earlier this month on Twitter that he was transferring from LSU after the program did not renew his scholarship.
