Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight will miss the remainder of the regular season after injuring his shoulder on Saturday, head coach Kevin Sumlin told reporters. Sumlin added that if all goes well Knight could return for a potential bowl game.

Knight didn't start the second half for the Aggies after leaving their game 35–28 loss to Mississippi State in the second quarter following an apparent injury. Junior Jake Hubenak took over, completing 11-of-17 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception.

Knight appeared uncomfortable on the sideline after diving for a 19-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. He didn't play the next series, but returned in the second quarter before he was knocked out of the game again following a hit along the sideline.
