Texas DB appears to retweet a plea to transfer by A&M fan at halftime
If it seemed the Texas Longhorns didn't have their head in the game as No. 4 TCU drilled them for a 37-0 halftime lead, maybe it's because the 'Horns didn't. At least not everybody.
Freshman cornerback Kris Boyd was apparently so frustrated with the first-half blowout that he decided to check his Twitter feed during halftime and found it wise to apparently respond to a tweet directed at him and freshman linebacker Malik Jefferson, the prized recruit of coach Charlie Strong's 2015 recruiting class.

The tweet was apparently from a Texas A&M fan who was taking obvious delight in the Longhorns' shellacking. The tweeter told the two Texas freshmen that any time they're ready to transfer, A&M will be waiting.
Jefferson was heavily recruited by the Aggies and at one time looked to be headed to College Station before committing to Texas.
Boyd was a four-star recruit from Gilmer, Texas, who has earned playing time on Strong's defense. His high school coach, Jeff Traylor, followed Boyd to Texas and serves as the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator. Boyd's brother, Demarco, plays linebacker at Gilmer and is a 2016 Texas commit.
It couldn't get much worse for Strong and the Longhorns on the field, and now the coach who preaches discipline might have to hold a meeting with his young cornerback.
And likely ban phones from the locker room -- if they weren't already.
Texas ended up losing the game 50-7, dropping its record to 1-4 (0-2 Big 12).
After the loss, Strong weighed in on the Boyd situation, telling reporters:
