Texas transfer OL Jake Raulerson is headed to UCLA

UCLA recently lost starting center Jake Brendel to graduation. A 4-year starter, the Bruins have been in desperate need for someone to replace to the Texas native.

Well, Jim Mora did just that -- hauling in another "Jake" from Texas.

Texas transfer Jake Raulerson announced on Twitter that he has committed to UCLA. A graduate transfer, Raulerson is instantly eligible to compete for the Bruins. He will have two years of playing time available.

This is a significant pickup for the Bruins. Mora's team lost its entire interior of the starting offensive line unit from a year ago (Brendel, Alex Redmond, Caleb Benenoch).

With Raulerson in tow, he'll instantly stabilize the center position as an experienced, savvy veteran. The expected return of Scott Quessenberry from injury also gives UCLA another option to fill one of those vacant starting guard spots.

Raulerson took an official visit to UCLA this past weekend. He was also considering the likes of Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, and Stanford.
