The spotlight is on the versatile RB Josh Ferguson
With the NFL Draft in close proximity to the Illini's campus it has everyone talking. It's also made people take notice of do everything running back Josh Ferguson who has quietly been one of the nation's most underrated players.
Ferguson even admits that he considered leaving after last season to chase his NFL dream according to The News-Gazette:
“There was always a thought,” Ferguson said. I’ve just got to perform, and I didn’t want to regress. I knew if I did progress in such a way, I would have an opportunity. I just want to do better than I did the year before.”
When Ferguson's career is done at Illinois after this season, he could wind up in the top five in rushing yards and top ten in receiving yards in school history. That is pretty special and worthy of the extra attention he is going to receive this season.
