The Super Bowl is guaranteed to feature several former SEC stars

Heading into Championship Sunday, the participants of Super Bowl 50 are still yet to be determined. Regardless of the pending results in both the AFC and NFC Championship games, the SEC is guaranteed to have a number of former stars competing for the 50th Lombardi Trophy.

A few interesting SEC matchups could occur heading into the big game, including former No. 1 overall draft pick and Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning against former No. 1 overall draft pick and Auburn/Florida quarterback Cam Newton.

If the Patriots and Cardinals advance, former Ole Miss teammates Bobby Massie and Brandon Bolden would go head-to-head for the title, not to mention another clash of former Alabama star Dont'a Hightower and LSU greats Patrick Peterson and Kevin Minter - Tyrann Mathieu is currently injured.

No matter the matchup, a former SEC player is guaranteed to walk off the podium at Super Bowl 50 with football's ultimate prize in his hand. The only question is, which player will it be?
