These Tennessee students left the epic Florida game at halftime
Tennessee came into Week 4 carrying the burden of a 11-year losing streak to Florida and desperation of all of Rocky Top on its shoulders.
So when the Vols opened the game in about as ugly a fashion as possible -- throwing terrible passes, dropping easy catches, looking uptight and nervous -- doom filled Neyland Stadium. Florida took a 21-3 lead into halftime, and Tennessee fans reacted just like you'd expect: They had a meltdown, bracing themselves for the customary failure that has come with rooting for Tennessee in recent years.
Some people were so sick that they decided to leave the game at halftime, completely conceding any chance of a comeback, like these two students who spoke to a reporter outside the stadium.
WELP!
Of course, Tennessee came out in the second half and destroyed the Gators, winning 38-28 and officially ending the nightmarish streak that has plagued the Vols for over a decade.
It is almost certainly the biggest victory these students will ever have in their time at Tennessee, and they walked out early.
The only saving grace: Saturday night will be the biggest party Knoxville will ever throw in their four years, so at least they will have that. Cheers, Rocky Top.
