Top California athlete Asiasi signs with Michigan
In front of his family and friends at Concord De La Salle High School, top California athlete Devin Asiasi selected Michigan as his college choice. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound athlete opted for the Wolverines over UCLA, USC, Alabama, and Washington.
Asiasi is one of the more versatile prospects within the '16 class. A true jumbo athlete, he's played as a tight end and a defensive end in high school. Asiasi has even taken snaps as a wildcat quarterback.

As a tight end, Asiasi is a punishing blocker. He's also equipped with soft hands and surprising athleticism for a man of his size.
While he'll likely be given every opportunity to play at tight end, his eventual evolution size-wise could determine ultimately where he'll line up down the line. It wouldn't be a shock to see him transition to a defensive line position.
This is a massive pickup for Jim Harbaugh -- capping what's been a tremendous National Signing Day. Asiasi's physical nature truly fits in perfectly with the overall feel and disposition of the program.
