Top DT prospect narrows list down to final two schools

Not only did Lawrence drop UCLA and Washington from contention, but he also left Alabama off of his final list. It's a bit of a surprise -- considering the Crimson Tide had long been a staple within his recruitment.
There's a lot to like about Lawrence's game. He plays with a low center of gravity -- exploding forward with good quickness and serious power. Lawrence is big and physical enough to take on double teams up front. This should lead to Lawrence being an effective defender against the run in college.
LSU rarely loses top in-state prospects. In fact, many would assume it is the prohibitive favorite in this race. However, Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes shouldn't be completely discarded as an afterthought in Lawrence's recruitment.
