True freshman Josh Rosen already being dubbed UCLA's 'Chosen Rosen'
When Brett Hundley signed with UCLA out of Chandler, Ariz., many believed he was the "Chosen One."
Hundley helped elevate the Bruins program in his three years manning the starting role. He's since handed the torch, and it was Josh Rosen selected as the starter over the veteran Jerry Neuheisel. And already, the true freshman quarterback is being dubbed "The Chosen Rosen."
It's not hard to see why so many rest their faith on a true freshman. Tyler Dragon at Bleacher Report explains.
"Rosen is one of the most heralded UCLA football recruits ever," he writes. "The Bruins lead all Division I programs with 112 team national championships, but football is one of their least triumphant sports, having only produced one national championship when they split the title with Ohio State in 1954.
"Despite UCLA's recent football success, the school is still looking for its first conference championship since 1998. The Bruin faithful are hoping Rosen is the one to change all of that, and it begins with the 2015 season."
