Twitter Tuesday: T.J. Logan, UNC basketball, Georgia and more
What’s Twitter saying about UNC this week?
It was a busy week for the North Carolina Tar Heels. The big event came from Saturday’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff game against Georgia, as football season is back.
But that’s not all that was going on.
This weeks edition of Twitter Tuesday includes a variety of topics including UNC soccer legend Heather O’Reilly, Tar Heels basketball recruiting and the North Carolina football game against Georgia.
Heather O’Reilly retires from international soccer
UNC soccer legend Heather O’Reilly announces her retirement from international play at age 31. O’Reilly has been a part of the US Women’s National team since she was 17 years old.
She has played under five coaches and participated in 230 international matches. She ranks 12th all-time on the USA’s scoring list and sixth in assists.

UNC head basketball coach Roy Williams offers 2017 center Brandon Huffman
Late last week, Roy Williams extended a scholarship offer to 2017 big man Brandon Huffman. Huffman is a 6-foot-10, 230-pound power forward out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
UNC is looking for as many as three big men in the class of 2017 and Huffman would fill a very important vacancy for the Tar Heels.

And maybe some good news for UNC fans:
Can also confirm this. Would imagine #UNC the team to beat for Huffman with this development. https://t.co/k71FfG1o8K

UNC vs Georgia
Of course, this week’s Twitter Tuesday wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the reactions brought about by the UNC football game. The general consensus from Tar Heels fans is that the officiating in Saturday’s game was substandard.
Best part of the SEC refs in the #UNCvsUGA game was overturning Heels' catch on 3rd & 9 and ignoring blatant PI by GA defender

Could've just played this game in Athens with SEC refs, same difference ???? #GoHeels #UNCvsUGA
— UNC Terry E (@faith_more) September 4, 2016
A tweet referring to the momentum swing that took place in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Georgia. In particular, the penalty for ineligible man downfield called against UNC offensive tackle Jon Heck was highly questionable.
Prime example of how #refs can change the momentum of a game #UNCvsUGA

Even this Michigan fan felt like the Tar Heels were getting hosed.
Refs making sure the #SEC wins this one. Terrible. #UNCvsUGA

T.J. Logan goes off against Georgia
UNC senior running back T.J. Logan shined during the Tar Heels’ loss to Georgia. He rushed for 80 yards, including one rushing touchdown. He also had a kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.

And then a more dramatic take:
Did I mention it was his birthday?
