After former Duke guard and new Detroit Lion Laken Tomlinson starred on Day 1 of the draft, the Washington Redskins selected wide receiver/return specialist Jamison Crowder in the fourth-round (105th overall). After the draft, six more ex-Blue Devils were signed as undrafted free agents, according to the official Duke football Twitter account.

Crowder is being billed as a playmaker in Washington. That should be no surprise to Duke fans, who watched him account for 29 total touchdowns the last four seasons (23 receptions, 4 punt returns, 1 rush, 1 pass).

ESPN's Chris Mortenson praised Crowder on Twitter, then shared comparisons to successful NFL wide receivers he's heard from "personnel men" around the league.

The Duke athletics page also announced wide receiver Issac Blakeney's signing with the San Francisco 49ers and linebacker David Helton's deal with the New York Jets, as well defensive linemen Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo's and Dezmond Johnson's agreements with the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively.
