By signing the papers, neither prospect is locked into attending Alabama, however it does give the school unlimited access with both of them until National Signing Day. Having that intimate level of recruiting is something no rival school can match.
The 6-foot-5, 296-pound Williams is a five-star prospect, according to 247Sports, while Hurts is rated as the nation's top dual-threat quarterback prospect by 247Sports.
Following the recent departures of their top two quarterbacks, Texas A&M has zeroed in on Hurts as a viable replacement to bolster the Aggies quarterback depth. The Tide may have to use the advantage it has with Hurts signing his FAA papers with the school just to keep him on board for the 2016 class.
