Two former Iowa players make CFB Hall of Fame ballot

On Tuesday the latest group of nominees for the College Football Hall of Fame were announced. The Iowa Hawkeyes had two players who made the cut.

Defensive end Andre Tippett was a 1981 Consensus First Team All-American, two-time First Team All-Big Ten performer and holds the school record for TFL yardage (153 yards/20 TFL).

Wide Receiver and return specialist Tim Dwight was also nominated. He was a two-time First Team All-American, First Team All-Big Ten who placed seventh in 1997 Heisman Trophy voting as well as finishing his career as the Big Ten’s leader in punt return yardage (1,102).
