UCF redshirt freshman recovering after Saturday morning shooting
Chris Williams, a redshirt freshman cornerback for Central Florida, is recovering in an Orlando hospital after being shot twice in the arm on Saturday morning.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Williams was shot after an argument outside King Tut's Lounge.
The paper says UCF coach George O'Leary and his staff -- out of town at the moment -- are aware of the incident, and are trying to gather more information. O'Leary has reportedly been in contact with Williams and his mother.
Williams mostly worked with the scout team in 2014, appearing in just one game.
Williams posted a photo on Facebook from the hospital Sunday and seems to be in good spirits. (A reporter who covers UCF sent it out in a tweet.)
