UCLA Football: Bruins Are Early Favorites Against BYU
The UCLA Football team are favored going into their final non-conference game of the season against the BYU Cougars.
Believe it or not, the UCLA football team is the favorite to win this weekend when they travel to Provo, Utah to take on the BYU Cougars.
As of now, the early line has the Bruins as three-point favorites (-3). This was already going to be an interesting game as both teams currently stand at 1-1 and will look to not fall below .500, but now it will be more intriguing with this opening line.
The Bruins lost their season opener on the road in a hostile environment at Texas A&M.

The UCLA Football team came from 15 points down at the beginning of the fourth quarter to tie the game and force overtime. Unfortunately, the Bruins could not convert in extra time and lost 31-24.
The Bruins then evened up their record with a victory over UNLV this past weekend.
BYU seemingly has their own struggles. They narrowly defeated the Arizona Wildcats in their season opener, 18-16. The Cougars then lost a rivalry game to Utah this past weekend, 20-19.
With both teams having a few difficulties to start the season, it is easy to see how the line is so close. What is a bit surprising is that it is not in BYU’s favor. Usually a close game goes to the home team, so maybe the odds makers know something we do not.
Additionally, the last time the UCLA Football team was in Provo, things ended badly for the Bruins. Back in 2008, a Rick Neuheisel-led UCLA team went into LaVell Edwards Stadium and got annihilated, 59-0.
That was a different time and with different teams, but this game still raises concerns. Primarily, will the UCLA Football team be able to go into another hostile environment and be victorious? Or will the Bruins once again have some deficiencies causing them start the season 1-2 for the first time in the Jim Mora-era?
