UCLA Football vs. Arizona: Go Joe Bruin Predicts the Game
Go Joe Bruin gives you our takes on the UCLA Football team as we predict the game against Arizona.
Forget about last weekend, it’s over! It’s time to look ahead as the UCLA Football team prepares to face Arizona. Both teams are 2-2 to start the season and are looking to avoid a two-game losing streak.
Though we are unanimous in our predictions, there are a few things that concern us. Still, it looks like a certain team from Westwood will be getting a “W” this weekend.
Here are GJB’s predictions:

More from Go Joe Bruin
The Bruins bounce back in a big way and don’t allow the final AZ score until late in the second half. QB Josh Rosen continues to improve his play while he and his receivers finally start clicking on all cylinders.
The running game led by Bolu Olorunfunmi just crushes this undersized AZ front seven as the Wildcats are still at least a year away from having the players they want and need on defense.
QB Brandon Dawkins threatens UCLA with his speed but without anyone else, especially any RBs to help take the pressure off, UCLA is able to force him into pressing which becomes turnovers.
This UCLA defense will have another impressive performance. I will however still be unable to get a strawberry lemonade. #firemora

UCLA 38 – Arizona 24
The offense bounces back against a weaker defense in Arizona, with Olurunfunmi carrying the load in the running game. The UCLA defense comes back down to earth with a disappointing performance against Arizona’s dual-threat QB Dawkins, a type of QB the Bruins have always struggled against. In the end it’s the offense carrying the burden this week as the Bruins continue to not put together a complete game.

UCLA 38 – Arizona 10
Arizona’s defense is built to stop a spread attack & is a perfect foe for working out the kinks in the Bruins’ power run game. Expect Jayon Brown and Kenny Young to repeat their performance from the BYU game and limit the mobile QB. Rich Rodriguez will fall to 0-5 against Jim Mora.

UCLA 42- Arizona 14
Arizona is very, very thin on both sides of the ball. UCLA should be able to manhandle the Wildcats on offense and defense.
Michael Hanna
UCLA 20 – Arizona 16
UCLA doesn’t have the offensive explosion it normally has against the Wildcats due to a letdown after Stanford and the scheme change. The defense is able to do enough against Dawkins and the Arizona offense to eke out a victory and send the Bruins to Tempe the following week with a winning record.
Mike Regalado
UCLA 35 – Arizona 10
The Bruins WILL bounce back after a tough loss to Stanford. During that game, UCLA showed improvement on defense and gave a glimmer of hope on offense. With the talent and coaching a step down from the Cardinal, UCLA should be able to move a little more freely against Arizona, who has taken hits on offense and defense. If UCLA can contain AZ QB Dawkins, then the Bruins will dominate this game.
