UCLA Football: Wide Receiver Coach Eric Yarber to the NFL
It has been reported that UCLA Football’s wide receivers coach Eric Yarber will leave the Bruins for the Los Angeles Rams.
It seems that the offensive side of the UCLA Football team has not yet finished evolving. The day after UCLA’s meltdown up in Berkeley in the last game of the 2016 season, Head Coach Jim Mora fired Offensive Coordinator Kennedy Polamalu, setting off a chain reaction of events that has completely altered the coaching staff.
A month after Polamalu’s termination, Mora finally hired Jedd Fisch, Michigan’s quarterback coach, to take over the Bruins offense. Once Fisch got in, there were even more changes.
Fisch came in and named himself QB coach, replacing Marques Tuiasosopo and forcing the former Bruin coach up to an open spot at Cal.

Mora had also fired Offensive Line Coach Adrian Klemm after issues with giving recruits improper benefits and less than stellar production from his position group this past season.

The Bruins then brought in Hank Fraley to take over the line as well as DeShaun Foster to replace Polamalu who still held responsibilities with the running backs.
Well it looks like things are not yet completely set with the offensive coaches as they now have to find a new receivers coach as it has been reported that Eric Yarber is leaving the Bruins to take a position with the Los Angeles Rams.
Bruin fans speculated that changes would be made on the coaching staff after the season and Yarber was one coach that many were on the fence about. This season, his receivers were plagued with dropped balls.
It did not help that QB Josh Rosen was done for the season six games in and the Bruins had to replace him with former walk-on Mike Fafaul, but the quarterbacks are only half of what makes a reception. Several receivers had issues securing passes which, along with an ineffective run game, gave UCLA little to no chance on the offensive end.
So now UCLA is on the hunt for a receivers coach. Hopefully, they can get one hired sooner than later as the Bruins have a lot of work to do between now and spring practice.
