UCLA has been dominant in August and September

Published Sep. 17, 2015 2:37 p.m. ET

Some teams start off hot -- while it may come down to easier opponents early in the season, it's still impressive to come out of the gates strong.

According to ESPN.com's Ted Miller, UCLA has won 10 straight games in August/September. Last season, UCLA started off 4-0 to begin the season. They defeated Virginia, Memphis, Texas and Arizona State.

Once October came, however, they dropped two straight home matches -- first to Utah, in a close match, then again to the Oregon Ducks.

This season, UCLA has again jumped off to an early hot streak: they've recorded victories vs. Virginia and UNLV. If they can beat BYU on Saturday, then Arizona State (Sept. 26), they'll keep their August/September streak alive for another year.
