UCLA reportedly changes mind on TE Chris Clark's transfer block

Published Sep. 24, 2015 1:29 p.m. ET

Reports yesterday indicated that UCLA blocked freshman tight end Chris Clark from transferring to Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State.

News today reflects the opposite. According to ESPN Insider's Todd VanHaaren, the UCLA Bruins have lifted the ban on Clark from attending the previously mentioned schools. The report also mentions, however, that Clark was not interested in transferring to any of those schools anyway.

Clark said he left UCLA because he was uncomfortable with the distance from home, in New Jersey.

“Everybody made a big deal about it, but I didn’t really care because I don’t have interest in Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State,” said Clark. “I got a call from him [coach Mora] yesterday and they said they didn’t think it was fair so they’re lifting it.”
